Tidbits and Updates

Just a sharing . . . .

a. Let us "PRAY harder" because the devil is rejoicing over the pain of the Roman Catholic Community regarding the struggles of a few famous and holy priests of ours: (latest to the oldest)

Bishop Gavino Zabala of Los Angeles diocese, Fr. Pavone, Pro life movement, Fr. Corapi, famous for his life story, Fr. Manning, SVD community, Fr. Eueneneur, Priest International, Fr. Cutie, who is now an Anglican priest, Fr. Maciel - who left a big scandal in the community he founded. Lord Jesus, have mercy on us and the whole world!

What do they have in common? Priestly ordination and world-FAME. It hurts us the church community, but we have to continue asking the Lord to aid us and be with us always till the end of time.

May the WORD (who is a Person, and His Name is JESUS) transform our "thoughts, words, and actions" each day!

Let us lift them in our prayers.

b.             Where shall we find a holy person?
Where shall we find a saint?
It is difficult because . . . the real saint is   . . hidden    . .and humble    . . and holy.

It is the little way that leads to salvation. Not the way of pride and pleasure and power. Not the way of wealth and the world. Not the way of ego and ambition.

Only the way of the cross!

When are we going to learn this? ...fr. Longenecker ask.

c. St. Joseph, pray for us!

"Each and every one of us was created, willed and loved by God.
  • Each and every one of us has a role to play in the plan of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • If discouragement overwhelms you, think of the faith of Joseph;
  • if anxiety has its grip on you, think of the hope of Joseph, that descendant of Abraham who hoped against hope.

    A First Friday meditation

Understand that a soul that is always grateful lives in closer touch with God than one who never looks to Him in thankful acknowledgment. When good things come to us, the more gratefully we fix our mind on the Supreme Power, the more good things we will receive - and the more rapidly they will come. The reason for this is simply that the mental attitude of gratitude draws the mind into closer touch with the source. from which the blessings come.

    e. Irish Wish and Prayer for you!

    A Wish for a Friend
    Wishing you a rainbow
    For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
    For golden happy hours—
    Shamrocks at your doorway
    For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!

    May God give you...
    For every storm, a rainbow,
    For every tear, a smile,
    For every care, a promise!

    i. Creating this website has been exciting for me after attending a few beginner's HTML classes.
The BACKCOVER Page, with the blue background, why so different? Well it is the first ever webpage I have created. It started this current website-creation ball rolling. What you see is the result of the first 3-hour html class with Mr. M. of West City Ctr, Community College District. I got so excited about it. So I am sharing it. Even the Blessed Mother is pleased with it.

           1. One fact, since the revision of the Divine Office after Vatican II, lay people have been encouraged to participate in the Liturgy of the Hours, either with the priest, among themselves or even individually.

When they do, they join with the entire Church throughout the world in its common prayer, sanctifying the day and night, giving praise and worship to God in a rich and beautiful tradition of our Catholic heritage.

           2. Part of my early faith formation was being a young catechist using like bleacher our original home outdoor-stairs. In the 6th grade I began to get inspiration from the Eternal Word with these two scripture verses that became a mantra for life:
"Have faith in the Divine Providence that guides the destiny of man and nation!"
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path."
